Great video! I went to all those places in Feb 2023. I also rented a beach car. Have you learned that Acuario (aquarium) is where everybody takes photos of all the tropical fish and rays because the water is so clear. That's why all the tour boats were arriving there. The small island you walked to is called Haynes Cay. I loved it. I'm surprised you didn't know to wear beach shoes. They sell them and waterproof cell phone and camera protectors at all the small shops where the boats depart, and they encouraged me to have them.

Sorry you had to face this. You handled it well. But if you feel you need to report a complaint with Kerala Police they will surely help you out. The police in kerala and India are more responsible towards tourists than local citizens. Trust me you can surely get help from Police if you don’t feel safe. Incidents like these if it escalates gets national attention so police will act and will surely help you.
